CRJ 469 - Victim Treatment and Services Credits: 3 This course introduces students to the dynamic and often controversial field of advocacy, treatment, and services for crime victims, ranging from protective services to therapeutic treatment of victims and survivors. Specific emphasis will be placed on the criminal justice and juvenile justice systems? ability to prevent and help victims recover from serious violent crime. Further, students will be introduced to the processes currently utilized by criminal justice and social service agencies to engage, investigate, and provide support services for victims and their families.
Prerequisite(s): CRJ 309 with minimum grade of C or CRJ 310 with minimum grade of C or permission of deparment.
