ECO 345 - The Economics of Growth and Development Credits: 3 Introduces the general field of economics growth and the problems of developing countries. Specifically, the nature of a typical underdeveloped area and the problems of capital formation, population growth, and economic organization are analyzed and compared with those arising with the growth of industrialized countries. Theories of economic growth and their relevance to current problems in developing areas and various forms of international assistance, are examined.
Prerequisite(s): ECO 102 or HON 166 or permission of department.
