SWK 511 - Human Behavior in the Social Environment II Credits: 3 Emphasizes 1) the interaction of social and economic forces with young, middle-aged, and older adults and social systems; 2) traditional and alternative theories about systems as they interact with people, promoting and impeding health, welfare, and well-being, in context of human culture and diversity; and 3) knowledge about opportunity structures and how they promote and deter human development and need-meeting. Students evaluate theory and apply it to practice situations.
