HIS 361 - History of 20th Century Europe Credits: 3 This course traces the political, economic, social, and cultural development of Europe from the beginning of the 20th century through the early 21st century. Particular focus is given to the causes and impact of World War I, the Russian Revolution and Stalinism, the rise of fascist regimes, World War II and the Holocaust, the Cold War division and postwar reconstruction of Europe, the end of the Cold War, European integration, and contemporary challenges facing Europe.
Prerequisite(s): HIS 105 or HON 122 and sophomore standing, or permission of instructor.
