INT 358 - Global Political Economy & Security Credits: 3 This is a study abroad course that features an in-depth focus on global politics, history, and economics, focusing on governmental and non-governmental decision-making and organizations, both from a contemporary and historical perspective. A major focus will be on understanding the workings of international institutions such as NATO, European Union, Red Cross, Organisation for the Prevention of Chemical Weapons and International Criminal Court. The course also examines Europe in the context of trends of globalization, localization and human rights in the modern era. This course meets in Europe and has a substantial online component.
