A focus is placed on developing inquiry-based classrooms where language becomes a tool for increasing knowledge. Research-based components of reading are examined and applied to the everyday context of teaching and learning. Students begin an action research project in literacy that will be carried over and completed in the spring theory course. The course is a requirement for the literacy coach university registration.
