BIO 545 - Wildlife Diseases Credits: 3 This course examines the ecological, physiological, and behavioral roles of diseases that affect wildlife populations. Particular emphasis is given to diseases caused by biological organisms, but diseases caused by abiotic factors are also addressed. Topics include surveillance, diagnosis, prevention, population regulation factors, and potential treatments. The course is heavily dependent on the primary literature and includes discussion on methodologies used in the study of diseases affecting wildlife.
