BIOL 461 - Techniques in Biotechnology Credits: 3 Provides hands-on experience with standard molecular biology and immunological techniques commonly used in industrial and academic laboratories. Methods include immunoblotting methods, ELISA, isolation and analysis of DNA and RNA, protein purification, and gene cloning techniques. Graduate students must complete additional course requirements. One hour lecture and four hours lab/week. (Offered spring semester).
Prerequisite(s): (BIOL 385 or BIOL 418 or CHEM 301 (may be taken concurrently) )
