ANTH 341 - North American Indians Credits: 3 In this course we will explore the post-European contact lives of native North American tribal peoples, ranging from the Arctic adapted seal hunters to the maize farming cultures of the Desert Southwest and Eastern Woodlands to the Plains buffalo hunters. We will also examine the changes and problems brought on by European contact, that face all surviving Native American people on into the 21st century.
