CHEM 223 - Laboratory IIIA-Experimental Organic Techniques Credits: 1 Involves an in-depth study of the basic techniques of isolation, purification and identification of organic compounds. These techniques are applied in examples of common organic synthetic reactions and also in a project involving the isolation, purification and characterization of an over-the-counter pharmaceutical drug or a natural product. Three periods/week.
Prerequisite(s): CHEM 124 or CHEM 126 ) and CHEM 221 (may be taken concurrently)
