FINA 324 - Retirement Planning and Employee Benefits Credits: 3 Provides knowledge of both public and private retirement plans. Public plans include Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. Private plans include defined benefit and defined contribution plans and their regulatory provisions. Specifics of the various plans are analyzed as well as non-qualified deferred compensation plans. Issues individuals face in retirement, such as life-styles choices and medical issues also discussed.
Prerequisite(s): FINA 311 with a minimum grade of C.
