SOWK 357 - Special Fields of Social Work: Health Care Credits: 3

Extends and elaborates the generalist approach to social work practice to a specific field of practice. The special field is studied through the examination of curricular areas: human behavior, practice, policy and services, research and special populations. Special field courses include, but are not limited to: Behavioral Health (SOWK 347 ), Substance Abuse (SOWK 348 ), Aging (SOWK 351 ), Developmental Disabilities (SOWK 356 ), Health Care (SWK357), and Violence in Interpersonal Relationships (SOWK 359 ).

Prerequisite(s): SOWK 270  with minimum grade of C
