MAT 107 - Mathematical Models Applied to Money Credits: 3 An introductory level course designed to cover deriving mathematical formulas arising in Finance and Economics. Mathematical models are constructed and used to calculate simple and compound interest, annuities and payments calculations, amortization, sinking funds, perpetuities, installment buying, calculation of premiums of life annuities and life insurance, and the time value of money. Not open to math majors.
Prerequisite(s): Math placement level of 2 or MAT 050 with minimum grade of C Category: Basic Skills and Competencies & Cat A - Logic and Numbers
