WST 100 - Introduction to Women’s and Gender Studies Credits: 3 This course explores the key issues in Women’s and Gender Studies scholarship, including the history of feminism in the U.S. as well as contemporary concerns facing women’s lives. Topics include how gender operates in institutional and cultural contexts; how gender intersects with race, ethnicity, class, sexuality, and other categories of human difference; and how the critical analysis of these categories impacts our understanding of our world. Course fulfills the university’s diversity requirement.
