The Exercise Science minor is designed to provide students with the option to tailor the curriculum to your desired career plans and areas of interest. The minor is ideal for students who are interested in broadening their experience and knowledge base in the study and analysis of principles related to exercise physiology, psychological approach to physical activity, acquisition of motor skills, nutritional principles, exercise programming, and injury prevention and treatment strategies. Finally, the minor courses incorporate applied learning experiences to allow opportunities for students to apply course principles and to develop new skills.

Admission Requirements:

The Exercise Science Minor is open to undergraduate students and must meet the following requirements to be admitted into the program:

  • GPA of 2.00 or above

Note: It is strongly recommended that students complete BIO 150 as one of their Natural World & Technology General Education courses because it is a prerequisite for ESC 343, which is required for the minor.
