Credit Requirements*
- General Education: 47 credits
- Major Requirements: 55-56 credits
- Free Electives: 17-18 credits
- Total Credits to Graduate: 120 credits
* All undergraduate degree programs require a minimum of 120 credits. Some courses meet multiple requirements, but are only counted once toward the 120 credit total required to graduate. Requirements
Students enrolled in a program of studies leading to the Bachelor of Science degree will fulfill the following requirements: Biology Core Courses (12 crs.)
Students must earn a “C” or higher in BIOL 161 and BIOL 162 before upper-level biology electives may be taken. Physiology Elective (4 crs.)
Additional Biology Electives (18 crs.)
Electives should be selected with advisement; professional program requirements should considered when choosing electives. At least 6 credits need to be at the 300-level or above. Please note only 3 credits of research or internship may count as biology electives. Credits in excess of that number count as free electives. Allied Fields (21-22 crs.)
Note:
Students who have successfully completed more difficult physics and chemistry courses can substitute them for lower level required courses in those fields. General Education
