The Mathematics B.S. degree gives students a broad knowledge of mathematics as well as a firm grasp on the application of mathematics to other disciplines. By also completing the requirements for Secondary Education Certification, graduates of this program will be certified to teach mathematics in grades 7-12.
To complete the Mathematics, Secondary Education Certification B.S. program, a student must complete a set of required math and computer science courses (33-34 crs.) and a set of courses specific to Secondary Education Certification (45 crs.).

- General Education: 47 credits
- Major Requirements: 64 - 68 credits
- Free Electives: 5 - 9 credits
- Total Credits to Graduate: 120 credits
* All undergraduate degree programs require a minimum of 120 credits. Some courses meet multiple requirements, but are only counted once toward the 120 credit total required to graduate. Required Mathematics (22 crs.)

Note: Students seeking certification in secondary education must complete a literature course from among ENGL 190 , ENGL 243 , ENGL 248 , or ENGL 250 . All these will fulfill the General Education L tag. Course Sequencing
