SWK 607 - Emergency Mental Health and Trauma Credits: 3 n-depth study of the concepts, policies, practices, and research in crisis intervention during disasters. Provides introduction to the disaster field, a detailed examination of the human service delivery systems; and guidelines for attending to the emotional and mental health needs of both disaster survivors and responders, using the Critical Incident Stress Management model.
Prerequisite(s): SWK 531 or SWK 601 (may be taken concurrently)
