PSY 440 - History and Systems of Psychology Credits: 3


Effective until Spring 2020: Explores the philosophical background, historical development, contemporary systems, and possible directions of psychology. This course may be used to satisfy the Capstone Requirement in Psychology.

Effective Spring 2020: Explores the history of psychology ranging from early philosophy to more modern scientific developments. This course will examine some of the major issues, debates, and schools of thought that have and still dominate the field of psychology. The course will also include a discussion of future directions for the field of psychology.  This course may be used to satisfy the Capstone Requirement in Psychology.

Prerequisite(s): Requires at least junior standing.

Effective Spring 2020: PSY 101   or HON 151   
Graduate Credit: This course is not available for graduate credit.
