HIS 433 - Oral History Credits: 3 Introduces students to methods and uses of oral history. Students learn to analyze and use oral history sources, and will practice oral history protocols including the conduct of recorded interviews, the storage of oral history recordings, and the transcription of oral history interviews. Students will also be introduced to alternative uses for oral history including audio and video documentary, and digital methods of exhibition.
Prerequisite(s): ( (HIS 105 or HON 122 ) and (HIS 106 or HON 123 ) and (HIS 201 or HIS 202 ) ) or permission of instructor. Graduate Credit: This course is available for graduate credit.
