Exercise Science, B.S.

The Exercise Science Major explores the various sub-disciplines of Exercise Science in detail, including exercise physiology, exercise programming, motor behavior, exercise psychology, nutrition, research methodology, and more. Exercise Scientists rely on scientific knowledge in these areas to advance the understanding of how the body responds to physical activity to improve wellness, performance, and quality and life. To better prepare students for their lives after graduation, we offer two different concentrations: Allied Health Pre-Professional and Human Performance and Fitness.

Internship Requirement:


Students must complete one supervised internship in order to graduate. Prior to scheduling the internship, all students are required to submit the following items: internship placement form, resume, internship student contract, PA criminal record check, child abuse history, tuberculosis test results, CPR / AED certification card, first aid certification card, and proof of liability insurance. CPR / AED and First Aid certifications are only accepted from the following organizations: American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or National Safety Council.
