Majors, minors, and students adding a Certificate in a second world area must consult with the Director of International Studies to choose an appropriate substitute course and complete an Exception Form.

Electives (9 crs.)

The remaining three courses must concentrate on one world area (Africa & Middle East, Asia, Europe, or Latin America). Two of the elective courses must be at the 300-level or higher. No courses may be double-counted between a Certificate and the International Studies major or minor, or a second Certificate in another world area. Study abroad and advanced language study are strongly encouraged and may satisfy elective credit.
